There has been a shift in the mentality of the fitness trainer in that they no longer prepare for events. They are saying, let’s just do it – no prep for a marathon, triathlon, or open water swim.

It has now become a box to tick or a line to be crossed out – the next thing is a bungee jump or a mountain to climb!

Is it good? Who knows – this random approach tells us something – but what?
