They all laughed at Christopher Columbus when he said the world was round -Â They all laughed when Edison recorded sound -Â They all laughed at Wilber and his Brother when they said that man could fly – They told Marconi wireless was a phoney – it’s the same old cry.
These are all words from George and Ira Gershwin’s song from a musical called ‘Shall We Dance’Â and sung by all the top artiste’s including Sinatra, Toby Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald.
The lyrics go on to say – they all laughed when I was reaching for the moon – but oh who’s laughing now!
No one thought when H G Wells prophesied men landing on the moon and Jules Verne and his submarine and the lost city of Atlantis. Who could have prophesied the Mobile Phone – E-mail- Twitter – Money dispatched from a hole in the wall – or a Driverless Car which will mean no traffic lights and no accidents. All are now becoming a reality -brave predictions - brave people taking brave attempts at making them work.
Who is brave enough to predict for the future of Fitness. Send me your prophecy’s.
